Constitutional Amendment on Security and Weapons - dispute with the European Union on legal weapons

Citizens of the Czech Republic are supposed to have the right to hold and carry a weapon due to the defence of the state. 139 of the 168 members present in the Chamber of Deputies voted to accept the gun amendment. The change will give owners of legally-held weapons the opportunity to intervene to ensure the safety of the country, if necessary. Is it an empty gesture or a meaningful change? How should the Czechs cope with the growing sense of danger and how should the Czech Republic cope with the increasing pressure of the Brussels legislation?
Jiri Mihola: "This law is useless, we have the right to legal possession of a weapon already treated by law, and this constitutional law is more like a reaction to the European directive, but it does not solve this problem.
