The European Commission has closed the proceedings, which has been brought to Germany by Germany on account of the plan to introduce tolls for passenger cars on local motorways. According to today's commission report, Germany has already adopted changes to the rules of this system a few months ago and they are intended to prevent discrimination against drivers by nationality.
From the conclusions of the European Commission, the position of the Czech government, which, like other EU countries, was trying to defend against the German plan and to consider the case in this matter, will continue to develop. According to a spokesman of the Ministry of Transport, the Czech party is currently studying the Commission's statement. But the Austrian Minister of Transport has already condemned it, because it allowing discrimination between EU countries. Pavel Svoboda, Chairman of the Legal Committee of the European Parliament, is chairman of the legal council of KDU-ČSL.
