Today in a Luxembourg, the agriculture and fisheries council has discussed the stabilizing support measures for diary and pork market. Tomorrow the prime ministers will discuss the same topic in a Brussels.
„The purchase prices of milk and pork meat are very low, actually below the cost price. Therefore we asked the European Union to deal with this situation on the highest political level. As a Czech Republic, we have succeeded to enforce this matter on tomorrow´s assembly, which is extraordinary success. We are expecting specific proposals to solve this crisis. The farmers need immediate financial assistance to remain in the branch, “ the minister of agriculture, Marian Jurečka said.
