Press release - 21. 7. 2017
Daniel Herman at the Nostic Palace in Malá Strana had welcomed Mr. Ian Kennaway and handed him the Artis Bohemiae Amicis Award for an important and lifelong support to the Czech cultural heritage.
Daniel Herman, Minister of Culture: "I am honored to be able to personally pass this award today to Mr. Ian Kennaway, as no foreign expert has done so much to preserve our noble settlements, including their collections and parks. Not only has Mr. Kennaway been doing absolutely selfessly for years, he still spends his own finances to keep in touch with Czech and Moravian specialists. Awarding Artis Bohemiae Amicis is an expression of appreciation of a generous and completely selfless commitment to rescue and preserve the cultural heritage of our country as part of European culture. Thank you, Mr. Ian Kennaway and the squads before him. "
