Bohuslav Niemiec was born in Třinec and has lived in Havířov since he was six years old. He is a husband and the proud father of three children. He used to teach at the Secondary Technical School of Construction; he now serves as deputy mayor of Havířov and as an opposition member of the regional council. In this year’s elections to the Chamber of Deputies, he won a seat as a member of parliament.
He used to be involved in sports, particularly his favorite sports, floorball and volleyball. Whenever his work schedule allows, as a fan he never misses games by the Havířov Indians, Torpedo, AZet, and, since he’s a native of Třinec, of course the Oceláři as well.
And why did he run for parliament? Because he cares about the Moravian-Silesian Region. He loves its strength, history, and tenacity, but above all, the people who don’t give up easily. He knows full well that life isn’t easy there. That is precisely why he wants his region to finally have a strong voice in Prague. He wants to focus primarily on the development of transportation infrastructure, innovation, Industry 4.0, and security.
