Libuše Hubáčková

Vice Chair of KDU-ČSL

A native of Plzeň, mother of three, and advocate of a simple philosophy of life: if you want to change something, you have to be the one to change it. It won’t happen on its own.

She was elected Vice Chair of the party at the 2026 KDU-ČSL Congress in Ostrava. Since 2018, she has served as chair of the Valcha Local Committee—precisely where politics intersects with the daily lives of citizens. And as she herself says, at the closest, yet most challenging, level.

She graduated from high school with a focus on environmental protection and sustainability. She worked for a corporate firm in České Budějovice, then as secretary of the Control Committee of Plzeň Council, and after maternity leave, she joined the Regional Public Health Office in Pilsen in the Department of Child and Adolescent Health, where she oversees hygiene conditions in schools, preschools, and other facilities for children and youth.

She has long been interested in social issues, pro-family policies, and promoting a high quality of life for families with children. She is particularly concerned with issues such as affordable housing, support for seniors, intergenerational solidarity, and the development of services that help people cope with everyday challenges.
Kam půjdou do školky? Když ne my, tak kdo jiný?

That is why she joined forces with the KDU-ČSL. “They are the only ones who aren’t afraid of an outspoken woman with strong opinions,” she says. The party already had some of the residents of Valcha’s demands in its platform—and it was willing to adopt the rest as its own.
