František Talíř

Vice Chair of KDU-ČSL, MP

František Talíř is from Zubčice in South Bohemia. He studied history and opera singing and lived in Italy for two years. From 2020 to 2024, he served as vice-governor of the South Bohemian Region; today, he is deputy minister of the environment. In 2025, he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies. At the 2026 Congress of the KDU-ČSL in Ostrava, he was elected Vice Chair of the party.

Bringing people together! This is the motto that guides him in both life and politics. His main political priorities include nature and landscape conservation, flood prevention, and international cooperation, including support for Ukraine. In April 2023, he signed a partnership agreement in Mykolaiv between the South Bohemian Region and the local area, which he continues to develop.

Outside of politics, he lives for sports, music, and hiking. He is also involved in a project to build a new St. James Chapel in his hometown of Zubčice, where there is currently no church or chapel.
